HARRISBURG, PA – The Harrisburg Stampede of the National Arena League (NAL) is proud to announce Melina Gosa as the new Director of Community Relations & Outreach. Melina launched her indoor arena football career in 2023 with the AIF Corpus Christi Tritons as a Public Relations and Marketing Manager, where her leadership and passion for building community connections made a significant impact.
A proud Texan and football enthusiast, Melina brings a wealth of experience in engaging communities through sports. She co-hosts the podcast Girl Talk Sports Talk, where they discuss sports, community happenings, mental health, and hot topics with a tone of women’s empowerment. Her high energy and dedication to community involvement are noticed in the arena world.
In her new role, Melina will foster partnerships between Stampede players and the Harrisburg community, especially with our youth. “When professional football players engage with children of all ages, it shows them what’s possible,” she said. “Strong role models can inspire children to dream big and believe in their potential despite their current challenges.”
Melina also emphasizes the importance of collaboration between individuals, small businesses, and larger enterprises to create family-friendly experiences. “When we work together to highlight community strengths, it’s a win-win-win,” she said. “Families enjoy fun events, businesses grow, and the community thrives through these partnerships.”
The Stampede owner Justin Coble says “He is very excited to see Melina lead these efforts, forging partnerships that will make a lasting impact on the Harrisburg area. We want to be known as a community-based team first and foremost. Winning football games will come and are awesome but making a difference in our community and in peoples lives needs to be our mission also.”
